Does it take a lot of time to bill insurance for private practice?
It only takes me about half an hour to an hour per week with the systems and tools we show you in this community. Though it may take longer at first, we help you get there.
What if I have individual questions about insurance reimbursement for therapy?
Our expert billers, VAs, and I are available on call 24/7 to answer any questions you have or issues that may arise. We also have monthly live Q&A sessions with rotating experts where you can get answers to less time-sensitive questions.
How do I start the process of accepting insurance from therapy clients?
First, you will have to apply to be a part of a preferred provider panel. You can ask around to therapists in your area to see who they use in your specialty to get started.
How long does it take to get approved to take insurance for my private practice?
The application process can take several months to become finalized, but don’t worry, we will help you make it as quick and seamless as possible.
Are there any drawbacks to taking insurance?
You will have to research which insurance panels you want to apply to and do paperwork for each. They will also set your rates, which could be lower than your current going rate. However, we promise the pay off in additional clients, the security and the lack of marketing you will have to do as a result, make it all worth it.
How long does it take for the insurance companies to pay me?
Insurance companies must pay your claim within 30 days unless the claim is denied and you have to appeal. This is not common if you follow the practices we outline.
What do I tell my current clients and the insurance companies?
We have templates and recorded calls as examples for you to take all the guesswork out of handling this on both ends. Easy peasy.
Is taking insurance worth it?
From my own personal experience and that of all the members and experts in this group, you will see that it is! Once you learn the basics you will see the rapid improvement it makes in your calendar and your bank account. And we will be here for you for any hiccups you encounter along the way.
